BRISTOL, VA – Redeemer Lutheran Church is delighted to announce that the Rev. Dr. Kathy Kelly has been called as its new pastor. Pastor Kelly will lead her first worship service on Sunday, August 17, 2025. She comes to Bristol from her previous congregation in Lewiston, Idaho.

"We are overjoyed to welcome Pastor Kathy to our congregation and back to her hometown of Bristol," said Lisa Weatherly, President of the Church Council. The Council finds her warmth, deep spirituality, and passion for community engagement impressed us all. We are confident that her leadership and vision will be a tremendous blessing to our church family as we continue our work of sharing God's love.

All members of the community are warmly invited to attend Pastor Kelly’s first service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025. A meal to welcome her will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. The main meal is provided by Council members, with others invited to bring a dish of their choosing as they are able.
